Tesla Supercharger Cost Calculator — and Six More for UK Drivers

Work out what a Tesla actually costs you to run in the UK. Start with Supercharging — the tariff, your car's efficiency and your own mileage — then use the other six free calculators (referral value, charging cost, salary sacrifice, home charging, model comparison, winter range and charge time) to see exactly what it's worth for your car. Every figure is editable, dated and cites a primary source — no hard-coded rates that quietly go stale.

What's a Tesla referral actually worth in the UK?

Our own tool — the one teslatools.co.uk doesn't have. A UK referral gives a new Model 3 or Model Y buyer 650 free Supercharging miles, not a US Full Self-Driving trial. Put a real £ value on those miles for your car and tariff, then grab a verified code below.

Your figures

All figures are editable estimates, checked 2026-07-13. We never present a rate as fixed fact — see our sources.

Result

Value at Supercharger prices £74.03 650 free miles in £
If you'd charged at home instead £44.24
Energy in 650 miles 181 kWh
That's this many days of your driving 30 days

Estimate only — confirm live figures with Tesla and your suppliers.

The rest of the toolbox

Six more UK calculators — matching the tools UK buyers rely on, rebuilt with editable, dated, sourced constants instead of numbers that quietly go out of date.

What changed recently for UK buyers

Dated dispatches on UK price moves, programme terms and policy — each one read against the numbers in these calculators.

  1. The £37,000 Grant Cap, Applied to Every UK Tesla Configuration

A price cap plus a manufacturer condition. Run against the UK line-up, the answer is the same in every row — and a referral benefit cannot change it.

  2. £99 a Month, Modelled Against a Three-Month Trial

A reference price, not a benefit. The UK referral reward is still Supercharging miles — but the subscription price sets what a trial would be worth if one ever landed here.

  3. 500 kW Stalls, Modelled as Session Time

Peak rate is a cabinet specification. What matters to a reward holder is how many stops it takes to spend 650 miles, and how long each one blocks out.

The one input that moves the result most

If you only change one field, change the gap between your Supercharger price and your home rate. Nearly every question these tools answer is really a question about that spread:

Annual mileage matters less than people expect: it scales the totals up and down but rarely changes which option wins. The spread is what changes the answer.

Why the defaults are examples, not rates

One thing worth spelling out about the editable fields above, because it is the opposite of how most tools in this niche work. A fixed-figure calculator hides three moving inputs — the Supercharger price, which varies by site and time of day; your home rate, which depends on your tariff and when you charge; and efficiency, which shifts with speed, season and load — behind one number that was true somewhere, once. It then keeps looking authoritative long after it stopped being right.

The cost of doing it our way lands on you: two numbers have to be typed in before any result here says anything about your car. Leave the defaults alone and you get the shape of the answer. Replace them with the figures off your own bill and the charger you actually use, and you get the answer. That is why every default carries the date it was checked and is labelled an example rather than a rate.

How these calculators stay honest

Every default is an editable estimate with a named primary source and the date we checked it (2026-07-13). We never invent a rate, price or reward — and we get the UK facts right where most sites repeat US ones: the referral benefit is Supercharging miles, not FSD; there is no UK Cybertruck or Tesla-solar referral; and Model S/X left the UK line-up in March 2026. See every constant, its source and check date on our Methodology & sources page.

The primary sources behind the defaults on this page: Tesla UK — Refer and Earn · Tesla UK — Supercharging · Ofgem — energy price cap · GOV.UK — company-car tax rules.
